Libyan Oil Exports Grind to a Halt

Oil exports out of Libya are down to 300,000 barrels a day — a drop in the bucket compared to the 1.6 million barrels per day sold previously. Most oil production is in areas ruled by warlords who are using the oil fields as their own personal piggy bank.  For a country that gets 95% of its revenues from oil production, the massive reduction of oil exports could spell even more civil eruptions in the distressed mideast.
