Egyptians Think a Flying Bird Is a Spy

From a much longer Associated Press article, this excerpt tells why Egypt wondered if someone outside of Egypt was spying from overhead.

CAIRO (AP) – In a case that ruffled feathers in Egypt, authorities have detained a migratory bird that a citizen suspected of being a spy.

A man in Egypt’s Qena governorate, some 450 kilometers (280 miles) southeast of Cairo, found the suspicious bird among four others near his home and brought them to a police station Friday, said Mohammed Kamal, the head of the security in the region.

There, officers and the man puzzled over the electronic device attached to the suspected winged infiltrator. On Saturday, a veterinary committee called by concerned government officials determined the device was neither a bomb nor a spying device.

Instead, they discovered it was a wildlife tracker used by French scientists to follow the movement of migrating birds.

Are We Looking Foolish Yet?

From Armstrong Economics:

Europe still does whatever the USA orders it to do. Like Rome, all roads lead to Washington. It does not matter that the USA is spying on European politicians, it is also in a position to blackmail them so they do as the USA demands. There is no better example of this than Austria forcing the plane of the Bolivian President to land because they thought Snowden was on board.

Somebody’s Watching Me

LOL. This song by Rockwell is dedicated to our friends at Big Brother.gov.

Postscript:

Three times I have tried to embed the video with lyrics to Rockwell’s Somebody’s Watching Me from YouTube. I copied the code from three separate videos, thinking the first one was corrupted. The second one I assumed was a fluke. After the third video code failed, I am considering it enemy action.

When Those In Power Break the Law

William Binney, formerly in leadership at the NSA, says that testimony to Congress that says that the NSA doesn’t have access to content of e-mails is “an outright lie.” He’s an insider from the Agency. He knows.

Someone should tell the NSA that lying to Congress under oath is a crime. Where is law enforcement? What will be the tipping point that makes America wake up and stand up for the Constitution of the United States of America?

It is the job of the public to look for patterns of behavior that appear over and over again, demonstrating our government is not acting in the public’s best interest.

Are Scandals Pushing Obama to Start War?

From Tyler Durden at zerohedge.com:

At the moment when the Obama administration is feeling more heat than ever before, it starts another war. Suddenly everyone in the mainstream media is talking all about Syria and not about the IRS scandal, Benghazi, NSA snooping or any of the other political scandals that have popped up in recent weeks. As if on cue, Obama made headlines all over the globe on Thursday by claiming that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons against the rebels “multiple times”, and that the U.S. was now ready to do more to assist the rebels.

What I find intriguing is we fought al qaeda in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we are supplying  al qaeda–the rebels–in Syria.
